A bold new 2D animated piece, Juiced and Jazzed was recently created by Justin Weber, a talented young director at MAKE. The short revolves around a young woman named Lulu in prohibition era 1920s, who stumbles upon a flask. Lulu’s night on the town is then cut short when the long arm of the law intervenes and her fate becomes bleak. The swinging jazz of Joe Venuti and the wild music of Spike Jones accompany the visuals, inspired by early 20th century animation. What began as Weber’s senior film project at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, was later completed with the help of the MAKE team as his directorial debut. This hot new piece is gaining in popularity quickly. Please take a moment to check it out!
