“I think it is astonishingly egocentric to write one’s memoirs at this early an age, when really not that much has happened in life yet.” —John Scott (Excerpted from STEVE DRISCOLL: Conversations)
“Conversations surveys the work of 27-year-old artist Steve Driscoll, showcasing the changes and developments of his paintings from 2000 – 2008. Presented in full colour, the works are accompanied by text drawn from video interviews with artists, arts writers, gallerists, designers and friends of the artist. The collection of imagery, coupled with interview text edited by Laurel MacMillan, gives readers insight into Driscoll’s creative visions and mild eccentricities.”
Promoting a book through a trailer? Good call. For substance, nothing can beat a book, but for capturing the imagination quickly, how can you compete with a beautifully produced HD trailer?
I recommend you download the free PDF version of the book. I was unfamiliar with Steve’s work, but after seeing his original and challenging collection I’m definitely a fan.
