Underworld’s originating members Karl Hyde and Rick Smith are part of a high-end design collective/commercial house that many on surfstation will know… Tomato. with a penchant for typography and avant-digital layouts, they were so much more than nocturnal nob-twirlers. even the titles of their albums are subtle tells of a band set apart from their genre. they made it look easy. writing hooks was always effortless for them. forget the classy, cheese-free stadium dance party siren call from their massive hit Cowgirl… just think back to the global sound meme they created when asked to write a track for Trainspotting.
